It was a successful opening weekend for the Mountain Lions, but they'll be tested this week.  In fact, the heated Altoona-Hollidaysburg rivalry will dominate our airwaves this week.

Tuesday, the boys play at Hollidaysburg.  Air time is 7:15.  Art Taneyhill and Charlie Weston broadcast.

Wednesday night, we'll be at the Field House for the Lady Lions' home opener.  They've got the Hollidaysburg Lady Tigers.  Hollidaysburg beat BG to win the championship of their tournament over the weekend.  Altoona battled Mt. Lebanon but fell short on Friday before destroying McDowell in the consy game of the North Allegheny tournament.  Air time is 7:15.

The Jamie Dixon Show will be on WFBG on Thursday.  Air time is 6:00.

The Mountain Lions come back home to take on Allegany of Cumberland, MD on Friday.  Again it's Art and Charlie, air time is 7:15.

Both Altoona teams travel to Shaler on Saturday.  The girls play at 2, they boys at 3:30.  Shaler's boys team may be the best in the WPIAL, led by Penn State recruit, Geno Thorpe.  Rich DeLeo will join Charlie for that double header.  At 6:30, Pitt plays host to Bethune Cookman.  Bill Hillgrove, Dick Groat and Curtis Aiken broadcast.
