2nd Annual "Fish For A Cure" Tournament - Raystown

On Aug 16-17, 2013 we will be holding out 2nd Annual "Fish For A Cure: tournament. This tournament is to benefit the American Cancer Society Lots of other fundraiser too! Last year being our first year we were able to give the ACS $1300.00. This was in part by entry fees, raffles and the prize monies being donated back. My hopes for this year is to have that amount doubled or more. My one request was that the money raised for this event would stay in the Altoona, Blair, Bedford and Huntingdon areas. The ACS if honoring my request.

My name is Diane Tucker and I am a member of the Pennsylvania Striped Bass Association (PSBA). We are a non-profit organization and out primary purpose and the main reason the club was organized is to preserve and enjoy the lanlocked stripers in the fresh water lakes of Pennsylvania. We work to educate our members and the general public about all aspect of the fishery. The PSBA is a proud supporter of Big Brothers and Big Sister and we hold an Annual Fish For Fun Day for the kids. The PSBA also stocks Stripers in Raystown Lake yearly.
Back in Nov. 2011 I was diagnosed with a very fast growing breast cancer. The American Cancer Society helped me in a lot of ways when I was going through my treatments. Since my husband and i are members of the PSBA, we thought of having a tournament that would benefit them.
