Charges are not expected to be filed against NASCAR driver Tony Stewart. The Ontario County Sheriff's Office says at this point there isn't enough evidence of any criminal intent on Stewart's part. SATURDAY NIGHT, 20 YEAR OLD DRIVER Kevin Ward JUNIOr got out of his car during the race, and was waving his arms and gesturing at Stewart when he was hit. Stewart released a statement that said in part "There aren't words to describe the sadness I feel about the accident that took the life of Kevin Ward Jr. It's a very emotional time for all involved." HE DID NOT RACE yesterday at Watkins Glen.
2 Bedford County RESIDENTS DIED WHEN a motorcycle and AN S-U-V collided Sunday morning ALONG LINCOLN HIGHWAY in TODD TOWNSHIP, Fulton County. State Police SAY 53-year-old William Reyan OF EVERETT TOOK A CURVE TOO FAST. HE DIED AT THE SCENE. 59-year-old Margaret Reyan died A SHORT TIME LATER. the S-U-V’S driver was WEARING A SEATBELT AND WAS not injured.
LUCKILY NO INJURIES WHEN A tour bus caught fire late Sunday afternoon along the turnpike in Bedford County. The people on board were part of a group traveling for a religious gathering on their way back to Chicago. They SPENT the night AT A LOCAL HOTEL. AN INVESTIGATION IS UNDERWAY.
NEWSPAPER DELIVERY PERSON DAVID STROHL MAY HAVE SAVED A WOMAN’S LIFE EARLY SATURDAY IN EVERETT, BEDFORD COUNTY. HE NOTICED A FIRE AND POUNDED ON THE DOOR OF A HOUSE ON THE 1-THOUSAND block of Grindstone Circle. BY The TIME FIRE crews arrived, the house WAS fully engulfed in flames. The owner of the house was on vacation at the time, BUT His sister was staying there. 3 firefighterS suffered minor injuries AND are recovering at home. AN INVESTIGATION IS UNDERWAY.
A STATEWIDE CHILD ABUSE REPORT SAYS BLAIR COUNTY CHILDREN, YOUTH, AND FAMILY SERVICES INVESTIGATED 4 NEAR FATALITIES OF CHILDREN IN 2013. THE ALTOONA MIRROR REPORTS THAT IS A HIGH NUMBER IN COMPARISON WITH OTHER PENNSYLVANIA COUNTIES. ONE CHILD NEARLY STARVED TO DEATH DUE TO NEGLECT. 2 CHILDREN OVERDOSED ON PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION WHILE THEIR MOTHER WAS SLEEPING with a NEWBORN BABY. AND ANOTHER WAS HIT IN THE HEAD BY A MOTHER WHO WAS TRYING TO PUNCH THE FATHER. SHE IS THE ONLY ADULT WHO FACED CHARGES, PLEADING TO CHILD ENDANGERMENT AND DISORDERLY CONDUCT. THE ENTIRE AREA, INCLUDING BLAIR, BEDFORD, CAMBRIA, CLEARFIELD, CENTRE, AND HUNTINGDON COUNTIES, REPORTED ONE CHILD FATALITY. 2 YEAR OLD MICHARL AYERS OF HUNTINGDON WAS SHOT TO DEATH BY HIS FATHER WHEN HIS MOTHER BROUGHT HIM FOR A SUPERVISED VISIT AT HIS PATERNAL GRANDPARENTS’ HOUSE.

Penn State Police say a person was allEGEDLy sexually assaulted on campus early Saturday morning. IT HAPPENED between 2:30 and 3:30 in a South Halls residence room. the suspect is believed to be known to the victim AND AUTHORTIES ARE URGING EVERYONE TO BE VIGILANT AROUND CAMPUS.
