4 people SUFFERED SERIOUS INJURIES IN a crash Saturday afternoon in Bedford County. State Police say a van DRIVEN BY Richard Marco of Derry crossed the center line along Route 30 near Friendship Village Road and hit A car DRIVEN BY AYLA BOWSER OF CAIRNBROOK. THE VAN WAS THEN STRUCK BY AN SUV DRIVEN BY ROBERT STRAIT. MARCO, HIS 2 PASSENGERS, AND BOWSER WERE ALL FLOWN TO AREA HOSPITALS. THE investigatiOn CONTINUES.
2 PEOPLE SUFFERED MODERATE INJURIES IN A MOTORCYCLE WRECK SATURDAY EVENING. STATE POLICE SAY 41 YEAR OLD ERIC CRAWFORD OF BLANCHARD WAS DRIVING ON SOUTH EAGLE VALLEY ROAD NEAR SKYTOP MOUNTAIN WHEN A DEER LEAPED OUT IN FRONT OF HIM. HE LOCKED THE BRAKES AND STRUCK THE DEER, WHICH CAUSED HIM TO LAY DOWN THE BIKE ON ITS SIDE. IT SLID ABOUT 298 FEET, THEN HIT A GUARDRAIL. 44 YEAR OLD JENNIFER BARDO OF BLANCHARD WAS HIS PASSENGER. THEY WERE BOTH TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL.
STATE COLLEGE POLICE BELIEVE 17 YEAR OLD MONTANA MOYER OF PLEASANT GAP FELL ASLEEP AT THE WHEEL ABOUT 7:30 Sunday morning. THEIR WEBSITE, FIND-SUSAN-BACHMAN-DOT-COM has had 80-THOUSAND visitors, and their Facebook page has more than 13-HUNDRED likes. They've ALSO set up Twitter and Instagram accounts.

PROPOSED LEGISLATION COULD BEING SOME Changes TO DISTRESSED MUNicipalities across the state. State senator John Eichelberger is behind A BILL THAT WOULD GIVE Act 47 cities like Altoona and Johnstown the ability to levy some higher taxes, but ALSO force all cities in Act 47 to come up with a 5 year plan to get them out of a distressed state. The LEGISLATION would allow municipalities to get one 3 year extension.
The Manheim Central Penn Auto Auction in Grantville is getting ready to host the 4th state fleet auction TOMORROW. THOSE WHO Attend will have a chance to bid on several luxury and classic cars and about 400 other vehicles WHICH have all been seized by state law enforcement. all the proceeds will go back to the state.
A vehicle preview will be held from 9 to 4 today at the auction.
Today AND TOMORROW, all CATA bus stops along College Avenue will be closed DUE TO construction and paving. Passengers normally boarding on College Avenue SHOULD Pick up their bus at either the Shortlidge ROAd at White Building stop or NORTH Atherton St. at Walker Building. Also Today, from approximately 9am until 1 p.m., as the result of the temporary closure of Park Avenue, all CATA routes will instead travel along Curtin Road. Passengers should expect delays and plan their trips accordingly.
