CLOSING ARGUMENTS TODAY

THE DEFENSE CALLED A PSYCHOLOGIST TO THE STAND YESTERDAY IN THE DOUBLE MURDER TRIAL OF NICHOLAS HORNER OF ALTOONA. DR. ERNEST BOSWELL SPECIALIZES IN POST TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER AND SAYS HE HAS NO DOUBT THAT HORNER HAS P-T-S-D AFTER MULTIPLE TOURS OF DUTY IN IRAQ. THE DOCTOR ALSO TESTIFIED THAT HORNER HAS A PANIC DISORDER AND A MAJOR DEPRESSIVE DISORDER. HE WAS TAKING MEDICATIONS THAT THE DOCTOR SAYS CAN CAUSE A PERSON TO CONFUSE REALITY. IF THE JURY DECIDES THAT HORNER COULD NOT HAVE FORMED THE SPECIFIC INTENT TO KILL, THEY CANNOT FIND HIM GUILTY OF FIRST DEGREE MURDER FOR THE SHOOTING DEATHS OF SCOTT GARLICK AND RAY WILLIAMS IN APRIL 2009. CLOSING ARGUMENTS ARE EXPECTED LATER TODAY.
